CHALLENGE: "Scioco – challenge"

Eight talents of the pastry specialization course will compete in creating the best praline in the festival. The young future pastry chefs will compete in unusual combinations, colors and shapes in front of a jury: only those who know how to surprise the chocolate experts with intuition and imagination can win.

Some of the most renowned female chefs of the Consortium of Modena at Tavola, such as chef Barbara Astolfi of the restaurant "Il Calcagnino" in Formigine, Beatrice Brunetti of the restaurant "L'Incontro" in Carpi and Asia Corghi of the restaurant "Il Luppolo e l'Uva" in Modena , will be challenged in the preparation of a dish - a first course, a second course or a dessert of your choice - in which the chocolate will be the secret ingredient to make the proposal prepared for the occasion unique.

PRESENTATION OF THE OFFICIAL COCKTAIL OF SCIOCOLA '- "Sciocomuffin"

The masters of the Liquid Art shaker have designed and created the official cocktail of the event, named "SciocoMuffin".

It is a sweet and irresistible drink based on spiced rum, chocolate and coconut, which is reminiscent in everything and for the taste of a muffin, but to drink.

THE PIEMONTESE ARE COMING - I Gianduiotti

The gianduiotto was born in Turin in the mid-nineteenth century, from the combination of hazelnuts and cocoa: it was a "trick" of local artisans due to Napoleon's continental blockade. The Piedmontese master chocolatier Davide Appendino, with food writers Clara and Gigi Padovani will guide you in the world of gianduja chocolate, with a tasting of products made with the "bean to bar" process, from cocoa of different origins.

COOKING LABORATORY FOR CHILDREN - "Chocolate banana pops"

The Chocolate Festival could not miss a cooking class in English! Teachers from Pingu’s English Modena will guide the children in preparing a chocolate treat. All you need is a toothpick, a banana, chocolate and some toppings to decorate: you're done! The special ingredient that will make Banana Pops even better? English!

The goal is to provide a first approach to the second language through a playful and engaging activity and at the same time learning- by-doing.
